Conveyancing Forms and Procedures
4th edition
Overview
The fourth edition of this popular manual has been comprehensively updated to take account of recent developments, including:
- changes to Home Information Packs due to take effect in April 2009
- the TransAction forms revised in March 2009
- the Land Registry forms revised in October 2008.
The book has also been updated to include information on all the changes since the third edition, including: stamp duty land tax, money laundering regulations, guidance on mortgage fraud, electronic ordering of searches, home information packs, and the Solicitors' Code of Conduct 2007.
At the core of the book is a detailed and step-by-step guide for support staff to the process of domestic conveyancing transactions of freehold property. Each stage in a typical transaction is clearly explained and illustrated by flowcharts, tables and specimens of over 50 of the forms commonly used by conveyancers.
The CD-ROM accompanying the book contains essential reference information, including: colour plans, specimen title register, sample search results, and additional specimen forms.
Reviews
"This is an excellent book. I like the book very much as it is very 'user friendly' and it is ideal as a companion for the Conveyancing Paralegal."
National Association of Licensed Paralegals
"A simple but comprehensive and practical reference text. It is a library standard that is ideal for assistants, paralegals and conveyancing support staff. Any handbook that makes the process [of residential conveyancing] simpler and more efficient is welcome."
